IE7 Call to action: Please check your pages In WebTech, 1144 days ago

Finally, it happened. We knew they should and now they did: IE7 has been aligned to the web standards as we know them (read: CSS2) and now it is “breaking” some (if not ALL) the old CSS hacks we put in hour CSSes against the stupiditybugs of IE6. This is a major issue, because this tends to break sites rendering (when viewed with IE7, of course) and Microsoft is now officially worried about that.

In this IE blog post IE developers are explaining us which are the gotchas with the new IE7 and the old IE6 hacks. It is a VERY interesting read (a must, if you are a cross-browser CSS author).

We ask that you please update your pages to not use these CSS hacks. If you want to target IE or bypass IE, you can use conditional comments.
