Tinymce meets prototype In WebTech, 1002 days ago

We are using TinyMCE as our preferred HTML RTE (Rich Text Editor). It is very powerful, pluggable, pretty scalable (but NOT so tiny…). I like it very much. The only serious problem was that it was uncompatible with our preferred javascript library: Prototype. Some dirty hacks did exist to force the compatibility but they were not enough.

Finally, beginning with the 2.0RC4 release TinyMCE is now compatible with prototype. Read what they said:

I’ve modified TinyMCE to be compatible with these kinds of scripts that modifies internal functions/object prototypes. So TinyMCE will work with prototype.js since it’s seems to be a very common library nearly every report of incompatiblities seems to be due to this script.
